We’d like to apologize for not writing posts as frequently as we’d like to in our early stages of rebuilding but we’re still working behind the scenes to make this movement a reality once again.

We’ve been in communication with a group determined to bring Home Rule to Luzerne County. We should have some information from them in the near future.

All we can say is that IT’S ABOUT TIME! Home Rule will be a legitimate step in our fight to eliminate corruption in NEPA.

We’ve been slowly adding corrupt and useless politicians to the hit list and we need your help! If you have a suggestion please don’t be afraid to contact us or comment on this post.

We’ve already received some help adding some names after our return but we could always use more eyes and ears in NEPA to help the cause. The 2008 General Election is right around the corner and before you know it the 2009 Municipal Election Primaries are here. Let’s get ready to move in the right direction.

Soon it will be time to add a few more to this list, some suggestions Joe ( I need more family jobs ) Oliveri, Robert( I didn’t know Ross was on the LCCC board) Linsky, Dan ( you can’t site me for speeding) Lello, Keith (I can still read even though i dunt graduate) Moss, Danny (they got me my job at the LIU) Argo, Joe ( so what if Spadi Park falls apart) Zelonass, and most of the dumbest school board ever to raise your taxes.

Property tax assessments have been released in Luzerne county and no one is happy except the Harrisburg “Fat Cats”….Here’s some thoughts from around the net:

Everyone’s favorite website for finding out what our fearless leaders are doing to screw us over has returned! We bought the website a few months ago and have been planning this comeback every since! We plan to work along the same theme as the old site, except we aren’t going to ‘pussyfoot’ around the issues. We’re going to do whatever we can to out every lying, cheating asshole in North Eastern Pennsylvania and expose them for the trash that they are. We hope to truly mobilize the citizens of NEPA in order to make this a better place, governed by honest people who are sacrificing a part of their lives to help the people, instead of sacrificing the best interests of the citizenship to line their pockets and hang out in Vegas strip clubs.

We don’t plan to take shit off anyone, and neither should you. Check back for updates!

It only took a weeks to find an interested buyer, and only a few more weeks to negotiate the terms to transferring all rights and responsibilities of stopNEPAcorruption.org to its new owner.

We have not inquired as to the plan of action for the site after we transfer, so i guess check back and see what the new owner(s) will do here.

It’s been a pleasure uncovering controversy in NEPA, but you don’t need us anyway, all of the information we’ve posted was available in your local newspapers.

Throughout the past few months the coordinators of stopNEPAcorruption.org have gathered quite a bit of information and data toward our thesis and dissertation. We want to thank everyone for getting involved, and would like to let everyone know that we will discontinue regular posting and reporting of the corrupt actions in NEPA.

We’re looking for anyone who is interested in purchasing the rights to the site, and all of the information and programming held within. We would hope that the purchaser will continue the proper reporting of atrocious actions of the members of the ‘hit list’ and encourage the citizens of NEPA to be active and vote accordingly.

The website receives an average of 1125 unique hits per day, with an overall load of approximately 7200 page views per day.

All reasonable offers will be considered.

If you have not yet registered to vote in the upcoming primary, OR if you were going to change your party affiliation to vote for one of the Democratic Nominees or to help knock out someone like State Representative Mike Carroll, the deadline is coming quickly!

Make sure you go to your county’s board of elections with the application in hand by MONDAY, March 24, 2008!

MOOSIC — Random drug testing for appointed borough officials and employees was shot down Tuesday by council members who unanimously voted against the policy.

The questions here remains: what do these people have to hide? We all know that political decisions are made in dark, smoke-filled rooms, but are we finding out what colour the smoke in the Moosic Council’s room is?

We find it quite odd that they would unanimously vote against such a harmless proposition.

Before we even knew he was incredibly shady, State Representative Shimkus has been bounced from the ballot for not living in the 113th district. Not residing where his petition stated that he resided.

“Saying he intended to deceive voters about his address, a Commonwealth Court judge threw state Rep. Frank Shimkus off the Democratic ballot for state representative in the April 22 primary election.
‘The decision leaves former City Councilman Kevin Murphy as the only candidate on the Democratic ballot for the post, and gives him a leg up on winning the job in the November election. Mr. Shimkus said he would appeal the decision to the state Supreme Court.”

Correction and commentary as emailed from a reader:

The people of Pennsylvania were promised property tax relief/elimination from the revenue generated from the gaming industry and the new casinos. We’ve posted the numbers to show that the average household should be receiving a refund around $70 (probably less than 2% of your property tax bill).

The politicians are using the monies to fund little projects that they will then use to campaign for re-election. While these projects are positive, don’t get us wrong, the casino money was promised to eliminate property tax relief.

When these politicians say that they got them money for X, Y and Z DO NOT accept it until you see that property tax bill significantly reduced as most of these representatives campaigned on in 2006!
